Rotaract. Who we are
Originally started in 2007 to provide a service club for Simon Fraser University students, Burnaby Rotaract, as its members informally call it, has branched out to consist of members of all different demographics from Peruvian exchange students to young professionals starting their careers.
Club atmosphere is one of utmost enthusiasm, demonstrated by our social events such as our most recent Tacky Christmas Sweater Pot Luck and last summer’s Boston Bar Camping Social. Impromptu games nights and Comedy Mix meet-ups aren’t uncommon place either. Yes, there is always something to do in the life of a BR Club Member!
Fun and games aside, Burnaby Rotaract members display amazing leadership and organizational abilities. No task too large or too small, Burnaby Rotaract proud moments include spearheading last year’s District 5040 Strings for Polio benefit concert.
What makes the Rotaract Club of Burnaby special is not just its dynamic team, or its numerous events giving back, but rather how when walking into one of its bi-weekly meetings you’re greeted by an embracing air of welcome, not only from friendly fellow Rotaractors, but also from our dedicated Rotarians who always make the effort to come to our events!
